Fascia Release by Blocking
Blocking = pinning the fascia in place with a fixed object instead of rolling back and forth quickly.
Fascia release by blocking is a self-myofascial technique where you use a firm object (the “block”) to apply steady, targeted pressure to tight or restricted fascia so it can soften and glide again.
When fascia is healthy, it’s elastic and slides easily. Stress, repetitive motion, injury, or long periods of sitting can make it stiff, sticky, or dehydrated, which limits movement and causes discomfort.
Blocking is effective as it encourages fascia hydration, reduces neurological guarding, improves joint range of motion, decreases pain with aggressive pressure, and helps muscles fire more efficiently afterward.
Sessions are offered private, in-person and virtually.
